History

In 1953, Dr. Chester McCloskey left Caltech to produce organic peroxide initiators for the rapidly growing fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites industry.

In1966, Norac entered the metallic stearates market and developed a highly-efficient, patented manufacturing method.

In 1976, Norac and Jotun started a production subsidiary. Now, wholly owned by Norac, the plant has been expanded.
